In the fast-changing environment where technology is regarded as the basic tool in providing better quality education, San Sebastian College-Recoletos de Cavite piloted the E-Learning program or the E-Book program. This program aimed to introduce the use of a Tablet PC in conducting classes in lieu of books this coming school year 2013-2014. Program proponents see it as a great help most especially to the students in minimizing the burden carrying of heavy printed books and in maximizing the use of internet as a standard tool for global communications.

According to Ms. Tubay, the project is not mandatory for the students. The program is strategically designed primarily for the incoming grade two to third year High School students. For those students who agreed to become part of the trial phase will be issued an EDGECOMM 8” Dual Core Tablet PC, they with their parents signing a promise for care or called as “Pledge of Care”. Students will also be given these own e-mail addresses and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services. In preparation, the school administrators shall be conducting an orientation for the familiarization of the usage of the said program on 6 June 2013 for the first batch and 14 June 2013 for the second batch at the Cañacao Campus Auditorium. SSC-R de Cavite is the first Recoletos School to offer the E- Learning program.
