This job is mainly to provide research assistance to the Research Director and to participate in the design, execution, analysis and evaluation of the college research projects.  The contract is for one academic year with a possibility of renewal.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assistance:

  • Writing and reporting of research findings as required by the Research Director;
  • Maintenance of accurate files and records, both computerized and manual;
  • Providing support accordingly (minutes of meetings, preparing reports, documentating researches, etc.);
  • Handle and protect confidential and sensitive data with integrity;
  • Assist in the design and maintenance of online surveys and technical databases;
  • Assist in writing code and analyzing the data;
  • Produce written, tabular and visual materials for research reports and presentations;
  • Assist in organizing meetings of the researcfh units of the different colleges;
  • Assist in general coordination and support tasks which are usually routine;
  • Performance of any other duties associated with the research project, of an occasional nature, which may be assigned by the Research Director.

  • Uploading of research finding on an internet website

  • Other research tasks as requested by the Research Director

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

Professional Skills, Knowledge Experience

  • A Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant discipline preferably in Statistics;
  • Excellent organizational and administration skills;
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills (preference in english);
  • Excellent research skills, including on the internet;
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills;
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office software and IT skills in general.
