DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION AND CONTROL SEMINAR |

The High School Student Development and Placement Center celebrated the
Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Month last November 12-13, 2009 for
the SSC-R high school students. The purpose of which is to educate the
students of the adverse effects of illegal substances on their
scholastic performance, social interaction, personal development, and
physical/health conditions.
As part of the HS SDPC information service, the service department
invited Dr. Jerome Morada, Main Campus College Physician, and Mrs.
Pureza G. Ambat, City Social Welfare Development Officer of the Youth
in Crisis Intervention Center in Cavite City to be the resource
speakers of the seminar.
Two invited guests from the DSWD rehabilitation center also imparted
their personal experiences to the students for them to better
understand the nature, causes and bad effects of using illegal drugs.
