The results are out!
Students registering for the election
The Supreme Student Council has a new set of officers eager to be at the service to their peer come Academic Year 2010-2011. The newly elected officers are as follows: President, Ms. Norlyn Dialino, Vice President for External Affairs, Mr. Mark Abrina, Vice President for Internal Affairs, Mr. Roy Toledo, Secretary, Ms. Arlene Mancilla, Treasurer, Ms. Ivee Monton, Auditor, Mr. Alvin Murao and Public Relations Officer Mr. Justin Lampas. With the exemption of Ms. Mancilla and Mr. Lampas who are both from the Psychology Department under the College of Arts and Sciences, the rest of the elected officers are from the College of Business Administration.
Their first activity is a series of courtesy calls to the Director of
Student Affairs, the Vice President for Student Welfare and the last
stop is with the College President.

Out of the 2,123 officially enrolled student voters only 1,168
participated in this year’s popular election or 55.02% of the whole
student population. A far cry from the 74% turn out in last year’s
election. The break down of the voters are as follows (counting by
organization): SPS 58, NARS 106, CYHRP 127, BMAP 59, JBFA 206, JMA 64,
JPIA 86, SEBCOM 28, JPCAP 51, JPCS 214 and FORCES 165.

As of this writing, turn-over of documents, equipment and orientations
for the new set of officers are underway. The oath taking and
ceremonial turn over of responsibilities will take place during the
Graduation Ball program on March 17.
This summer, the newly elected officers will undergo leadership
training together with the student senators (newly elected officers of
the different organizations) to plot the calendar for the SSC for SY
2010-2011.
The SSC-R Alumni Federation, headed by Mr. Tony Alcid, President and Dr. Rodolfo Garcia, Jr., immediate past President, is sponsoring a feeding project for pupils of the elementary schools in the city of Cavite.
