The Voice Master of the Philippines himself, Pocholo de leon Gonzales visited SSC-RdC
last July 27, 2015 to share his expertise about Voice Care for Teachers, as part
of the celebration of the SDPC Week.
Gonzales and his colleague Miss Ada Cuaresma emphasized the importance of the human
voice especially for teachers and that every teacher should know how to properly
take care of their voice. Gonzales started the seminar by categorizing the learners
based on the generation they were born and differentiated their characteristics.
“It is important to distinguish their generation so that we may know what approach
we may use in order for us to effectively teach our students” said Gonzales. Meanwhile,
Curesma mentioned the different harmful factors that affect the human voice; Cuaresma
also gave tips and exercises that will help lessen vocal stress.
Participants of the seminar were faculty members and administrators of SSCR-dC and
teachers from different public schools within Cavite City. Mrs. Maria Soledad T.
Tubay (Director for Research) delivered the opening remarks and welcomed the participants;
on the other hand, Mrs. Jennifer B. Escobar (Dean, College of Arts, Sciences, and
Nursing) concluded the seminar.
