Services
- To conduct routine dental examination for all students during enrolment
- The rendering of individual dental consultation or treatment which shall include
the following but shall not include tooth extraction:
- Oral examination and / or chair side consultation
- Oral prophylaxis
- First-aid treatment of traumatic injuries suffered while inside the school campus
- Control of secondary or post-traumatic hemorrhage
- The referral to dental specialists like orthodontists, periodontists, and oral surgeons
of patients for further treatment and management depending upon the presented dental
cases.
- The provision of initial dose of medicine only to all dental patients.
- To conduct dental check-up on students, faculty members, office personnel, maintenance
staff, janitorial and security services
- The issuance of Dental Certificates to certify absences from work and/or class, as
well as Certification of Readmission to or exclusion from work and/or class.
- The issuance of Certificate of Dental Clearance to students for job application,
On the Job Training Program (OJT)
- Informing the school authorities (e.g. the Deans, Department Heads) and the parents
of students of any dental accidents met by students while they are inside the school
campus and/or about the need for emergency transfer and treatment to the hospital.
- The holding of symposia on Dental Health for students, faculty members, office personnel,
maintenance staff, as well as the janitorial and security services.
- Facilitating the application of insurance coverage (advisement) for students who
shall encounter dental accidents.
- To conduct dental outreach programs and projects in the adopted barangays of SSC-R
de Cavite and other community-based dental missions organized by the School or Alumni
Federation as well.
Dental Clinic
The School’s Dental Health Service Clinic is located on the ground floor of the Saint
Augustine Building, next to the Medical Health Service Clinic.
Our school’s dentist is available from Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 NN
and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
The school dentist shall provide preventive as well as curative services to all bona
fide students. However, should there be cases not within the scope of the services
provided by the clinic, the School Dentist shall have the responsibility to make
the necessary referrals.

Services
- Daily medical consultation and advice on any illness or medical condition that requires
treatment.
- First aid services for minor wounds, cuts and bruises.
- The giving of medications for symptomic relief of minor ailments such as cough, colds,
headache, muscle pains, etc.
- Nebulization services for asthmatic patients.
- Blood pressure check-ups for hypertensive patients or whoever shall need or request.
- Annual physical examination for students and athletes.
- Pre-employment check-ups or physical examinations for faculty members, non-academic
personnel, and student assistants.
- Issuance of medical certificates. A medical certificate shall be issued only after
the concerned student, faculty member, or non-academic personnel has been examined
and treated by the school physician.
- The dissemination of medical information and health care guidelines and practices
through the conduct of symposia and seminars as well as the posting of information
on bulletin boards .
The school physician shall examine, diagnose, and prescribe the appropriate medication
for all primary cases referred to the school clinic. However, should this service
not be enough, the school physician shall refer the patient to the appropriate clinic
or hospital for further evaluation and/or treatment.
Preventive Health Program
- Vaccination Information Drive
The Medical clinic provides information about a particular vaccine and its preventive
or curative effect/s on specific ailments.
- Class Exemption
This type of preventive health program is specific for the exemption of students
with physical disability from participation in P.E. classes. This program aims to
screen who are not fit to participate in Physical Education classes due ailment or
physical disability.
To request for exemption from his/her P.E. class, a student with disability must
submit to the school physician the following documents:
- Letter of Request from parent or guardian
- Medical Certificate
- Diagnostic examination results
Medical Clinic
All bona fide students of San Sebastian College Recoletos de Cavite are entitled
to free consultations at the medical clinic from Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00
PM and on Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
The main objective of our medical clinic is to maintain and/or restore health of
all members of the Sebastinian community specially the students. It also aims to
impart health education and disseminate information relative to the promotion and
preservation of health and prevention and/or cure of illnesses.
