Batch 2001, Batch 2016 and SSC-RdC Admin won their respective championship series
for the 2016 Fr. Presidents Cup.
Batch 2001 led Group A by beating Batch 1989 in game 3 of a best in 3 series. Batch
2016 won over Batch 2013 in Group B in game 2 of a best of 3 series, while the SSC-RdC
Admin team led by Rev. Fr. James Dexter R. Tanquis, OAR, VP for Academics and Basic
Education Director, defeated the Organization of Sebastinian Student Assistants (OSSA)
in game 2 of a best of 3 series.
This season, the Fr. President’s Cup was participated in by 24 teams were divided
into 3 groups, High School A, High School B, and the open category. Under Group A
were Batches 1982, 1989,1990, 1998, and 2001; Group B were Batches 2003, 2006, 2011,
2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016; while the Open Category were composed of Zion, Rewind,
Engineering Alumni, Kap’s, Dekada 80, OSSA, Our Saints, SSC-RdC Admin and Ciudad.
The season started last April 2, 2016 and was hosted by the High School Batch 1991.
The opening ceremonies began with a Eucharistic Celebration at the Main Campus Chapel
followed by a motorcade to the Cañacao Campus. Mr. Rizaldo Samuel, Alumni Federation
President gave the opening remarks while Ms. Nina Lagac, Rev. Fr. James Dexter R.
Tanquis, OAR and Rev. Fr. Cristituto A. Palomar, OAR, President led the ceremonial
toss that started the games.
