Fr. Carron visits SSC-RdC
Rev. Fr. Antonio Carron y de la Torre, OAR, Head of the General Secretariat Education
Section of the Order of the Augustinian Recollects, and Rev. Fr. Emeterio D. Buñao,
OAR, VP for Administration of San Sebastian College-Recoletos, Manila visited San
Sebastian College-Recoletos de Cavite (SSC-RdC) last June 13, 2017. SSC-RdC is the
last Recollect School in Philippines Fr. Carron visited before flying back to Rome
night of the same day.
Among the itinerary of Fr. Carron was a dialogue with the Religious and Lay Administrators
of SSC-RdC. His visit was in line with Encuentros de trabajo en Filipinas (Working
Meetings in the Philippines) where he discussed the educational plan of the Order
of the Augustinian Recollects and encouraged everybody to further establish the Recollect
identity and strengthen camaraderie and foster collaboration among the different
Recollect communities around the world. After the dialogue, there was a group sharing
where Mrs. Jennifer B. Escobar, Dean, College of Arts, Sciences and Nursing, Mrs.
Rosalita P. Samoy, Dean, College of Accountancy Business Administration, and Miss
Erika Efigenia V. Alix , Administrative Assistant to the President presented the
output of their respective group.
Before going back to Manila, Fr. Carron toured the Cañacao Campus and gave his blessings
to Mrs. Cristina M. Aliwals, BED Principal, Mr. Edwin H. Expectacion, Assistant BED
Principal, together with the basic education faculty members.
