The primary goal of St. Thomas de Villanova Libraries is to provide access to information in all formats in order to support the teaching, learning, research and personal growth of its clientele. With this, the library will be responsive to client’s needs, enrich their lives, advance their careers and make them to become lifelong learners and more responsible citizens.


The Library as the primary information provider to the College community strives to provide:


1. access to knowledge, promote scholarly communication and provide information to academic community in support to research and instructional programs;

2. designs instructional programs and services that foster learning and collaborations with faculty and other academic units of the College;

3. leadership in information policy development, information applications and information research;

4. customer-oriented assistance in selecting, locating and using resources in an open and caring environment showing concern for and response to client’s need;

5. a well-trained and highly capable staff and work well together to provide quality services;

6. continuous procurement of up-dated and relevant information in diverse formats;

7. defense of intellectual freedom and the confidentiality of each individual use of the Library and Instructional Media Center; and,

8. a close working relationship with other libraries, community agencies/organizations that foster cooperation, making efficient and effective use of the library resources.
